Kedarnath wildlife sanctuary: This wildlife Sanctuary is very much famous in Kedarnath. This wildlife Sanctuary is located at the Alakananda river catchment area. Besides, it is the home for Bogyals, alpine and Coniferous forests. Moreover, there are also some other trees like Pine, Oak, Birch etc. A visitor will definitely get surprised on seeing the flowering plants of this wildlife Sanctuary. Some of the animals which you can find in this place includes leopard cat, black bear, snow leopard, mammals, Jackal, common leopard, birds, reptiles etc. There are also some other animals like bharal, serow, goral, tahr, goral, musk derr etc. Fishes like Barilius sp and Gara sp are famous in this sanctuary.
Guptakashi: This is a famous place where most of the devotees travelling to Kedarnath take rest. In other words it is a stopover place to the devotees. The famous Biswanath temple is located here. Here lord Shiva idol will be in the form of half female and half male. You can also see Nandi at the entrance of this temple.
Badrinath temple: This temple is one of the best temples of the world. This temple is dedicated to Badrinath and some millions of pilgrims visit this temple every year. Another great specialty of this temple is that transportation is not available. Thus, you need to go on a horse to this temple. There is a belief that this god will definitely fulfill the wishes of his devotees. A person should visit this temple once in a lifetime at least.
Vasuki Tal: This Tal is located almost at a distance of 8 Km from Kedarnath. It is located at a height of 4,135 m from the sea level. The range of Himalayan Mountain surrounds this Tal. This is a perfect spot of enjoying the scenic view of the Himalayas.
Agastyamuni: This religious tourist spot is located 20 km away from the district of Rudraprayag. This spot is located besides the banks of river Mandakini. There is a temple in the name of Agastyamuni which acts as a host for Baisakhi festival.
Triyuginarayan: This place is about 5km from Son Prayag via trekking. Here there is one old temple where devotees pay visit to take blessings of Lord Shiva.
Shopping: You can find lots of fabrics in Badrinath and Kedarnath. You can also find wooden articles too. These wooden articles and fabrics are offered at a very affordable price in these holy places
