The word Rudrakshaconstitute of two words, ‘Rudra’ and ‘Aksha’. Rudra means the one who weeps and aksha means the one who is capable of looking at and doing everything.

Rudraksha is the one that has the ability to wipe our tears and provide happiness. Now when we again come back to word ‘Rudra’, it is also combination of ‘RU’ and ‘DRU’. Where ‘RU’ means ‘roaring’ and ‘DRU’ means ‘rhythmical movements’. Thus, Rudraksha means ‘that which is produced out of tears of rudra’. This is all about Rudraksha meaning.

Rudraksha grows close by Gangetic plain in the Foothills of the Himalayas to South-East Asia, Nepal, and Indonesia. Rudraksha seeds are covered by an outer shell of blue colour when fully ripe, and for this reason are known as Blueberry beads. The blue colour is derived not from pigment but is structural. An evergreen tree grows quickly. The Rudrakshatree starts bearing fruit in three to four years. As the tree matures, the roots buttress rising up narrowly near the trunk and radiating out along the surface of the ground. This is all about Rudraksha growth.
