The Manali Gompa:
The Manali Gompa, also known as Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa is an important religious place for Buddhists from all across the world. This Gompa was built in 1960 and it is a beautiful place where religious paintings mount on the walls and there is a huge statue of Lord Buddha. Near this Gompa are some Tibetan shops from where you can buy art work, authentic handicrafts etc.

Manu Temple:
The famous Manu Temple of Manali is 3 km away from the town. It is a tranquil place where you can relax and enjoy the natural beauty. The place exactly where this temple is constructed was the abode of Rishi Manu.

Hidimba Devi Temple:
Dedicated to the wife of Bhim, Hadimba this temple is a beautiful and enchanting place famous for its spiritual powers and architecture. The wood carvings and the four stories in the roof of the temple speak for its amazing architecture. The temple is all around surrounded by the jungle of deodar tree and it scenic view is breathtaking.

Rahala waterfalls:
The Rahala waterfalls are on the way towards the Rohtang Pass and it is a regular stopover of tourists. A day out in this place can be an awesome idea when you are there with friends or family members. The water from glaciers melts down here and falls down as a gushing waterfall.

Rohtang Pass:
Tourists visiting Manali should not miss the chance to take a trip to the famous Rohtang Pass. Blessed with natural beauty and splendor, Rohtang Pass is famous for its panoramic views and surroundings.
 

Solang valley:
Solang Valley or Solang Nullah offers breathtaking views and it is located at a distance of 14 kilometers from the main town. A day trip to Solang valley will be wonderful. Here you can try out snow sports like snow scooter, skiing as well as paragliding in the open sky. This is a kind of place where Mother Nature has blessed with full heart.

Jagat Sukh: 
This place is located at a distance of just 6 kms from the Manali city in left bank of the popular river Beas. Tourist visits this place in large number to take a view of the ancient temples of Shiva and to observe the Sandhya Gayatri which is done in the Shikhara style.

Arjun Gufa:
If we start moving towards the Naggar region from the center of Manali city, 4 kms away is located the Arjun Gufa in the Pirnni Zone. This Zone is located at a height of 1 km from the place where Arjun meditated. You can enjoy the excellent view of the Himalayan ranges from this place.

Vashist temple and the springs of hot water: 
Vashist itself is a small village located in the way to Rohtang pass. This place is popularly known for the Vashist Muni Temple and the temple of Lord Rama. Aside to this sulphur springs natural hot water are made available both for men and women in two separate tanks for bathing purpose. It is believed that all problems related to health gets over when a person takes bath in this natural spring water.

Shopping in Manali: If you love shopping, Manali is a kind of destination which will not disappoint you. If you want to buy some kitsch stuff, check out the Tibetan market. For handicrafts, woolen shawls and local produce you can head on to the local market on the Mall road of Manali. I will also recommend you to make a visit to the Manu Market for a variety of kitsch stuff. Local handicrafts, amazing antique jewelry, clothes, and food items are all available here. There are local shawl stores from where you can get the pure wool shawl, do not miss that.
