Pathar Chauth Katha
Pathar Chauth is observed on the 4th day of the waxing phase of the moon (Shukla Paksha) in the Bhadrapad month. Pathar Chath is also known as the ever so famous, the Ganesh Chaturthi festival. On Ganesh Chaturthi/ Pathar Chauth, Lord Ganpati/ Ganesh is worshipped as the god of knowledge, prosperity, success and good luck. It is also believed that Lord Ganpati was born during Bhadrapada month (Shukla Paksha). Ganesh Chaturthi is also known as Vinayaka Chaturthi and Ganesh Chauth.

The Legends associated with Pathar Chauth says that if one sees the Pathar Chauth Moon on the Ganesh Chaturthi day, it will bring bad luck (Mithya Dosham or Mithya Kalank) in the coming days. Simhah Prasenamavadhitsimho Jambavata Hatah।
