Jamat-Ul-Vida - Holy Festival of India and Celebration

Jamat-ul-Vida is also famous as the Jummat-al-Wida which shows good wishes of the holy Quran. Jummat-al-Wida holds a special place in the religious traditions of a Muslim. It is a special event that falls every year before Ramzan ka mahina (Ramzan month).

On this day Muslim people are gathering at the mosque for their midday prayer-Namaz and perform special Friday prayers by reciting the Holy book Quran for the whole day. According to the Islamic cultures every Friday of the week becomes a source of blessings of Allah and salvation. On this day, they perform special prayers using Tasbih Mala/ Rosary by reciting Holy Quran for the whole day in addition to their regular Friday prayers

People celebrate this festival by performing special prayers and many social works to get immense blessings. Thousands of Muslim people get together on this day of Jamat-ul-Vida to attend their special occasion. People also get involved in the charity work such as donation, feeding of poor and helpless persons to get reward from Allah (God). Right in the morning, Muslim people take a bath and wear clean white clothes and their traditional caps. Besides, families also get together and cook special meals. 

Special arrangements are also done in advance, inside the mosques for the easiness of the people. In India, on this day, Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (Chief Priests) organizes ‘Quran Day’ at Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad and also in other cities. Muslim people seek forgiveness for the sins and pray for success in their future life. They also pray for peace for their departed dear ones. Priests also encourage people to follow the writings of the holy book Quran to get salvation and forgiveness. All in all, this event involves religious reverence as masjid are flooded with followers seeking blessings of Allah.
